There are several game modes, as a single playthrough will take ~ 30-45 minutes. 5 characters total are in the game for you to play.

I love 999 difficulty, as we were 2-man crushing that mode.

I have done playthrus for each character, and the Mega Black Label mode for the Witch as well. Mad fun shmup for sure, that gives the replay
As my buddy mentioned, it's also note-worthy that the instruction manual is in color.
