Here is more Direct info on the Brown Belt Quest:

You can Quest (Being in Thier Good Books) for this Item, and It Requires you Kill 3 NM's.  Not Only that, But I believe you need to Complete the Purple Belt Quest (Done) (Silence of the Rams) , That requires you Camp 2 NM Rams of LvL 20-30 Range, Glad I got that Done.

 

Almost @ 49 Finally, and I just picked up a Life Belt to Alternate between my Brown Belt :happy: Most of My Armor is Looking good Til AF, and That's always a good thing. Updating my To Do / Desired Gear List for Easy Refrence ;)

Luckily, SE added some Nice Armor for Monks in the Mid 50 Range, that I was able to Pick up some Pants and Body Armor for ~50k for Both :)

After doing some Easy Prey Soloing in Davoi and reading up on Job Changes, I'm going to replace my STR Rings w/ a Verner that I was given, and a Sniper's Ring, as they are under 200k now, as they were ~ 2Mil prior to the RGE Task Force.

 

I can afford to not miss now. :ninjawub:

 

I also saw that a Scorpion Harness is in the 250k range now, as I was happy when I got mine for 500k last year. Going though the Item list, I see the Expansions added a ton of Rare/Ex items that give similar or better perks then the Crafted or Dropped Items. It's nice to see that point finally sunk home.

 

Edit:

I got a Woodsman Ring for half the price of a Sniper. I liked the -5 Eva versus the debuffs and double price of the Sniper. I owe Kat 30k, and that is basically what each of my STR rings should sell for. ;)

I wanted to note that once I get 20,000 Imperial Standing (easier then it sounds in good PT's), that I can get a Walahra Turban for some HP/MP Boost, and +5% Haste. That sounds like a fun fill in for Genbu's and O-Hat. ;)

 

Also, I want to put my Verner Ring up, and quest another, to hold me over til Flame Rings are less insanely priced. I am up to having the flask and clicking Crabs to fill it Atm. Will finish tonight.

I got my Quest Verner ring, and passed on getting a Flame. Instead, I got a 2nd Woodsman ring, so my core Acc is decent, so I can Atk food it up. :P

 

Of note for Dyna and D-runs, Rereaise Gorget is good for some R2 power, while old faithful Reraise Earring is good for R1's. I may get another RR Earring, since I can solo last part of Promy 2-3, by rer-raising after Tarus mobs.

Real quick plug to any DD coming back to Final. GET THIS HAT. :lol:

 

My damage and attacks are absolute Murder with this Haste Hat and my Brown Belt. I could only guess how much slaughter would be if I had a Black Belt. :lol: Good thing I have the Quest Flagged. :)

 

I'm good on some Pahluwan Khazagand Body Armor when I do get that many points in a non-Nyzul area :P

I finally found enough information for me to retire my Indras and join the Destroyers Club.

 

I'll try my Hand @ some KS Merc'in this weekend perhaps. I will have some Weapon Skill Point unlock time to grind. :lol:

With the new expansions and level caps, I have all sorts of new stuff to look into. Luckily, I have a ton of Abyssea currency, so I can just get all of the Auroure Doublet set. For Monk specific AF3, that would be the Tantra Set. Magian Quest related, so no easy Get there.

 

Head, Feel and Legs are the only AF3 currently available with the Visions expansion. Quests upgrade the items from Meh to Dope.

Head pieces you can get from Vendors, the other 2 are drops.

 

Monk Merits

Once I have some merits to blow on Mnk, I will go for the following:

Combat Skills:

8 Points Hand to Hand

2 Points Evasion

 

Job Merits:

Monk:

1 Formless Strikes <- Point Spent

5 Penance <-- 1 Point, so far

4 Invigorate <- 5 Pointa capped.

 

Bard:

1 Point Troubledor

2 Points String

1 point Wind

 

 

Those merits should prove pimp. :) Will add to post as I find more relevant gear and get more levels.

Got a sick pt for Monk 75 to 84. Picked up the head piece of AF3 for both Jobs. I also got Lullaby and Ballad for my recently capped Bard in that Party. Super rad. :zzz: time

 

Started up the prior post merits for Monk abilities too. :ahoy:

 

I abandon the Pugilist trial Weapon, as Barracudas are way more awesome, and only require mass WS kills, not NM camping. :bunny:

Finished 3rd Q tonight, started Trial 1199. 800 WS to use on Aquans. :P Most likely will be Crabs, as Kracken (Sea Monks) hit hard. Same for Puglis :o Level 60-63 Mobs worked for my previous Trial.

 

I also got the drop for my Monk Feet last night. Yay XP and Chest grinding with the LS. Upgrade +1 will be nice, +2 will be insane.

 

Also got Monk Feet and item for Seal Quest. Gotta do some more Bastion and Quests so I can buy the pants. :) Feet Seals drop from the related quest, linked below.

 

• Head Seals <- Greens for Chocobos.
  
• Leg Seals <- Need Muriex drops.
  
• Feet Seals <- Need to kill Spitting Spiders for Bridge repair materials.

 

Seals can also drop from some NMs in each of the Scars areas.

Some NM zone drop Job items are pretty sick. Final Heaven WS via 13 normal WS charges. :D

Derp. I can use my Trial Weapon in Level Sync with Kat, as we were beating on some Crabs! Will do tonight. Good thing I can use any WS for the trial unlocks.

 

I am currently rocking in SSG on some crabs and pugils for my trials. Hardly EP mobs in that zone behind Mythril Door, so I need to jump up a few levels in enemies. I am currently 85 Monk, beating on some 62-67 Crabs. If I had to guess, 63-70 would be good level mobs.

 

I see there are some Greatclaw mobs I can beat on, in the 66-69 range, also in Sea Serpent Grotto.

Gear wise, I want to grab some Triumph Rings. got a Spiral Ring instead. Level 83 equip, no stats down.

 

95 MNK today. Limit Break fight pending. Fro quest drop, Dangruf Wadi worked well for drops. Northish fight mobs.
