Pic0o
My buddy in the office happens to have a 2nd PSP he's good to part with for $50.00. I verified w/ Kat and we should be good this week, as he has to find the 2nd one around the pad. :P I figure for $50.00, it's a great way to get my Tinker on with the PSP, and play some more mobile Castlevania. I also saw a few pretty snazzy RPG's hitting PSP side this Fall, like I need more Fall games. :sail: Feedback and must-see games are welcome to list. :) I think I'd like to grab some Flash Memory for the PSP. I forget if SanDisk gives a lifetime warrantee, looks like 5 years on the OEM site, that is doable. I should not forget the USB adapter too, or this one. Also, since the PSP works as a Storage Device, you can just run it in USB Access Mode, and go your File Tinkering. :) For Demos, Full games, Themes and more, you can peep PSN. You need to install software, will most likely have to use IE, and have your PSP connected to download Software. While the lack of Nix direct support sucks, the functionality is a nice start. :) Link to comment
J0k3r
I got a 1GB card, and since I don't do much with it other than play games its plenty for me. I got some nice titles that increase overall enjoyment of the PSP ownership. I think you will dig what you can tinker with ;) Link to comment
Pic0o
Nice. I'm testing some AVI converts to see file size, as spending more on a memory card then the console is kinda silly. Link to comment

Pic0o
As I told my Boss yesterday, I opted to 'Drown my Sorrows' of crappy issues @ work, via the local Monster. On top of the PSP, we also are rocking: Monster Hunter Freedom 2 Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles Star Wars Battlefront 2 and a 2GB Duo Pro Memory Card. I'm doing some System Updates and such this morning, working on playing some re-encoded Vids on the PSP. This Guide is handy for the File name and path requirements for Video Playback. :) (See next post for better encoding) Flashing to 4.05 currently. My Nintendo WiFi Adapter has new use again. :) Bless Soft-hacking it to be a mobile AP. For the PSP Video Encoding, I made a new topic, for ease of hunting. Pic0o
Kat aslo has a PSP now, as I snowed her my Fattie with encoded movies on it, and we immediately went downstairs to find trade ins. 19 DS Games later, her used PSP Slim (yeah, wtf rite) cost $9.00. With those kind of savings, you can bet we picked up some games too. I have some more Trade Ins downstairs, and I think I'll get Alien Syndrome for PSP, since it's cheap, and I can trade our Wii copy and not feel bad. :P I scored God of War used with no case for $22.40! I saw the slaying before I even considered it and was sold. Kat tried to jack it today. :P Maybe tomorrow. :) Also, The Warriors for PSP, as it's an older R* game, and I wanted to see what it was about, as buying another GTA felt silly, even though it may happen, especially Vice City Stories. If I see Twisted Cheap, I may scoop that up, then I will be good for a bit. So yeah. I'm going to pickup a used PSP Slim, as my Fattie will be $50.00 Credit, and I'm giving up my DS for trade in, since we both have one. Much lighter, More RAM, Tv-Out and Double the Memory = To the Monster! I got my system, and it had a Pin setup on it, blocking the Internet Browser. Believe it or not, you just have to reset the PSP settings via the menu. No Pin required, default settings and a stock Pin of '0000'. Pin function is certainly not in place for anti-theft. Also, PSP's work great as mobile drives. ;) Throwin Kat the Vid tools to have media on the click. Playing on the Monitor is mad nice, especially for the mad Reading to Get ur Learn in Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (or w/e right Title). Download from Web for Quests and shizi is super dandy. Both our LCD's look sick with the Component In Cables. Kat is rocking the Converter I got originally for the Wii. :kat: Edited August 10, 2008 by Pic0o Slim with Both LCD Pimp Input ;) Link to comment
J0k3r
Damn you went PSP crazy! Well if you like football Madden is great, oh and so is Need For Speed Carbon Link to comment
Pic0o
Cool. I'm set on games and shit now. :P I may get Monster Hunter F2 for Kat if I see a second copy, but outside of that, save loot time. You should be ready for this, as I will certainly be playing it when I am in town. It's mad awesome Offline RPG-style Craq. Tons of free extra content for Download too. I'm psyched as hell the input to LCDs works for both of us. Also, Crisis Core looks incredibly nuts. Link to comment
Pic0o
I used last night to catchup on my sleep and it is serving me well. For you 360 heads, you can in fact connect your PSP to 360 as a storage device. I also am able to watch the encoded movies from my PSP on 360, so the 360 does in fact support the codecs and mp4 format. ;) The Warriors is pretty cool too, it's basically a GTA, but with character switching and different levels as you progress. The story is pre-Warriors Movie, so watching that will rock once I do the game up more. Link to comment
Pic0o
I got my Mitts into the Slim Manual, as Kat's came with one. :) 4 Sec Pop on the Display / Brightness Key to set Output Display is Super Nice. :ahoy: Link to comment
J0k3r
So whats your verdict on the psp compared to the DS? Link to comment
Pic0o
PSP is getting the Superior Card, based on the native Multimedia Support and Storage capabilities. It literally is a multi-media device. DS gets praise for the more dominant use of Download Single Card Play, as I have yet to see a PSP Game support it for a local client to leech some Mutil-Play. the Touch Screen can prove awesome for some games on the DS, while others just tack it on for gimmick, and abandon OG Buttons. If Nintendo wants to keep gamers, they need to insure all games on Wii and DS support normal button-press play too. Both are great systems, but the PSP Multimedia abilities on top of the huge ass screen and sweet games I have currently is Win. Namely why I traded my DS in, so we could both have a PSP, while still owning a DS in the house for some of the must-have games. Kat and I have formed quite a nice PSP Game Collection, as purging our Duplicate and my Cleared or Inactive DS Games has been quite lucrative @ the Monster. :yar: LCD-Out is also Ultra-Awesome. Castlevania on my LCD is toooo Niiiiiiiiiiiccccccceeeeeeeee. Oh yeah, I found a copy of Twisted Metal. We shall play over the Holiday if yer around. :jaja: Link to comment

Pic0o
Eeeek on the Ebay BS, WTFH. Monday should bring me Worms 2 and Hot Shots Golf 2. Double-Pressing for Swings is more fun then I remembered, Bless PSP Demos. :) Those games should be 'free' from more DS Trade ins. :) I kept my Pokemon and other awesome DS games, for fear some lil kid would see my 57 hours of Pokemon Diamond time and have their head asplode. Also, are attached pics of my PSP Skin, Kat picked out. DecalGirl always for the Skin Win. Ghetto Cam pics while I slay my coffee. Link to comment
