Pic0o
Jolly Afternoon. I had some issues with getting a Ubuntu 8.04 setup running MythTv with the Web Plugin to run out the gate. After some sniffing around, I found the following post mentioning that there are 2 locations for the DB Config for the Web Interface, that I would need to update with my custom MythDB Password. Once I edited the file located @ /etc/apache2/sites-enabled and restarted Apache, I was working. Now Kat can record stuff to the Myth PC from her browser, and my PC can be offline, since I moved the capture card and such to a dedicated PC. ;) I wanted tyo keep this in mind for myself, or anyone else who may run into Database Connect issues for MythWeb. Pic0o
I was getting a connect issue on Boot for mythbackend, and checking the logs in Var, I saw the connection was failing on start, but fine under a user account login. I copied the mysql.txt file from the /user/.mythtv/mysql.txt to /root/.mythtv as there was not one in there. From there, all was happy upon booting. Link to comment
