i've been playing this game for like 4 days now or so. I must say im greatly impressed with it. My olddy pc struggles with it on low gfx settings but the game is mad fun and really in depth. The Vats system (which involves a different way to aim at the head arm w/e is amazing). the graphics i cant say much due to my pc.

Gameplay : 8 - 10 (Slow at the beginning missions are long but mad fun)

Graphics : ? (Someone with a madschool pc is going to have to help me here)

Sound : 9 - 10 (Great atmosphere sounds, good creature sounds blah blah)

Loading times : Amazing. (Even on my pc it takes only a moment for the sections to load)

All i can say is everyone must get this game, rather for Pc or Xbox 360.

well on low i get 30 fps or so if the 7600gs is overclocked 500 and it's 400 clock, memory stays unchanged due to no ramsinks. On medium settings with no water reflections i get 19 or so which is actually playable on :)

xbox 360 just costs a lil to much for me atm so i stay with my dieing pc :)

This was the Opposite of where we were when we picked up 360's. 2x360's were much less then 2 new complete rebuilds. Less so now, as my buddy put together a Mini-Itx rig with a Core 2 Duo for ~ $500. Onboard video with an option to upgrade, but still not a bad price. Waterblocks also cost a shit-ton, and I know they'd be required. :o

Kat and I both have a copy of Fallout 3 for our 360s. I am about 6 hours in and I am feeling the setting and have already found myself loosing hours in a seemingly short period.

Bless the save anywhere ability, this makes IRL possible. :P

I have seen a few web folks mention buggyness with this game, and so far the only issue we saw, was Kat not being able to take her G.O.A.T. until she reloaded a save game. Speaking of Bugs, I did see 'The Pit' DLC for 360 is seemingly corrupted and Bethesda is working on the fixed upload.

At least since jumping in late, I don't have to stress the DLC being gimped. I decided I wanted to get this game after the rave feedback from our Buffalo crew, and some gameplay I watched @ our buddies pad. ;)

Another short work week is in play, and my play this weekend took me to about 50 Hours of play in Fallout 3.

This game is quite worth every penny and I am loving it up. I get the feeling I will snatch most the DLC up once I wrap up the core stuff. I'm Level 14 currently and playing Goody Two-Shoes. If I didn't mention it before, you have 3 basic ways of playing, and they are:

Good

Bad

Neutral

Quests and how you accomplish them are obvious factors in this, and some stuff you will not be able to access based on your Character Karma. I have seen my buddy play multiple times to enjoy the contrast in story by rocking the different paths.

V.A.T.S. is Rad, it's your Right-Bumper Aiming System and lets you obliterate foes. If you have seen any gameplay of this game, you most likely have seen this time-slowing precision kill system.

Also when you level, you can pick various perks that aid you in your journey. To no big shock, I rock Small Guns and Rifles, with mad Dork Powa and Lockpicking Skills.

Here is the DLC I'd like to play:

Broken Steel

Broken Steel is the third downloadable content pack, and continues the story of Fallout 3 beyond the original ending. It does this by altering the ending of the game, according to Jeff Gardiner (lead producer of the DLC). In the pack, the player joins the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and helps rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave once and for all. The pack will also raise the game's level cap from 20 to 30. Broken Steel will be released in April 2009 on Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live.

For Core game, I have some untouched Side-Quests, Yay! :bunny:

Level Cap DLC due this Month

Oh yeah, I wrapped the main story up on Thursday night. I have been playing the other side quests I didn't complete before I GG'd the main quests. With side quests and such I have 65+ hours on my save game and 3 or so remaining flagged to complete. On my playthru, I have 27 quests completed. This excludes the 'Unmarked' quests, as they are triggered from your notes and such.

I also grabbed The Pitt, that I avoided starting til I bump those last few quests out. Be sure to have a nice Save Game before you complete the game as you will not be able to resume @ the end of your last mission. I kept about 10 saves at a time so this was a non-issue for me.

I rocked level 20 last night and eagerly await the 3rd DLC with the level cap raised to 30. I do have to say with the amount of content in game, the core level cap should have been higher.

Still stupid fun of a game. J0k3r joined the club too and he mentioned he is playing an evil mofo. I was super not-shocked upon hearing this. :P

I just got done with 'The Pitt' DLC and it was about 4-6 hours of play, tops. The new stuff is quite cool, but besides the Ingot Harvesting, you will probably not find much else to do post-DLC.

On a Good note, when done with The Pitt, you can go back to D.C. and carry on there. :)

It was a fun expansion series of missions and being Level 20 helped out a great deal. The new Area is pretty rad, you will just be able to wrap up what is has to offer in a few hours.

Showa time then some randomness. I'll prolly make my Oblivion Character, then slide into some Mirror's Edge and stuff. ;)

Edit to add Broken Steel expansion date of May 5th. Yay Level Cap to 30.
