Kat
So Pic0o and I came home to a lovely surprise. The trees are out to get us. They remember the bonfire from last year and they are sending us out a message. Too lazy to post here, follow link for pics please Tree Smiting Link to comment
Pic0o
Yay to pics to join my story today. It looks like a bit of the fence should be repairable. We'll have to see what our deductible to cost ratio will be. Link to comment
JeT
Was the fence the only thing that was damaged? Looks like you had a stretch o windyness goin' on. :o Hopefully those trees were all far away from the house itself.. At least now you'll have a lot of wood to axe for MORE BONFIRES! Maybe the other trees sacrificed the weaker trees to bonfires so you couldn't come after them. Link to comment
Pic0o
No wind that day really at all, as I was out riding my bike when it fell. I think the Rot of that huge branch was the cause. Since I think we will be able to fix it short of our deductible cost with the help of friends on branch removal, this is likely to be a DIY repair. http://www.doityourself.com/stry/chainlinkfence All our posts are intact and from the looks of things, we should only need about 2 post caps, some fasteners, and a top pole. I'm thinking it may be possible to reuse the fence under the branch, but I don't recall how bent it was. Link to comment
Funny
Wow. My parents had something similar happen to them about 5 years ago. Only dilly is their pool got ruined in the process. Gotta love 80mph wind gusts. :) Link to comment

Funny
No not the pool!! That's a pretty big tree. Was that in PA? Yeah. Like I said it was about 5 years ago. We had a tornado warning and had assinine wind going on. It was right before they were putting their house up for sale too. Great timing huh? :P Link to comment
