Pic0o
Jolly noonins from the workland. I recently heard some word on the Scott Pilgrim series, and after seeing some screens for the game, I got some OG side-scroller hunger. The Movie hits 8/13, PSN Release of the game on 8/10 and XBLA version drops on 8/25. The art style is similar to Kings of Power 4 Billion Percent. These are excellent vids done by Paul Robertson, who has a sprite style to move mountains. If you haven't seen this yet, hit up some video site with the bold title. I hope the game is some equally awesome sprite driven adventure. This will give you a taste of why I came to make this thread. :smurfy: Btw, there will be Co-Op, but it's Local only. I tend to play a little more IRL Co-Op than online, so that's cool with me. Edited July 23, 2010 by Pic0o Link to comment
Pic0o
If you like, you can pre-order the game on Ubisoft's Site. You'll get a Playstation Home shirt as well with your purchase. Also, be sure to use the following code: 10THANKS to save $1 on your purchase. Codes will be emailed to you sometime after the purchase, and they will be active on the 10th for the game, and 12th for the Home item. Link to comment
Pic0o
I got some play in last night. I almost rocked the 1st level boss, but failed and decided  was a good idea. Beat 'em Up is the name of the play and it's pretty fun. You also have some shops along the way where you can get items and food to boost your stats. Level progression for each character, to a max of 16 mentioned in-game. 4 of 6 playable characters are listed on the char select screen. This game is loaded with retro throwbacks, so elder gaming dorks should be in love. I'm playing on the 1st difficulty and still felt some hurt. Beat 'em up Powa! Link to comment
Pic0o
Did a Scott run thru this weekend. I busted the other 6 areas out with mad speed, excluding the massive last level. Finally beat that yesterday, then I took to start leveling Stills up. For XPing other characters, I advise changing your controller assignment for each, as their stats will level in correspondance to the active controller. Scott is my Player One, Player 2 Stills, and so on. I reassign my controller 2 for playing Stills, so someone else can be P1 and have a maxed Scott. Awesome game to play, and it only gets better the more you play. Think of it as a Beat 'em Up Demon's Souls like enjoyment of the levels. Super glad to have picked this up. :lion: Link to comment
Pic0o
I had 2 bucks in my PSN Wallet and I used it for the extra Playable character and Dodgeball mode. Since I played 3 characters to XP a good bit (3rd like 8, while other 2 capped), I figured I'd be likely to rock Knives. Great beat 'em up, if you haven't picked this up yet. Local only Co Op, no internet play. Link to comment
