Erosion of sense

Recommended Posts

It's been a bit since I put some word on the events and increases of exploits, botnets and general advertising subversion that is the current day internet. I wanted to take a minute to site a really dick move about bitmining malware that a company thought was a good idea.

Meanwhile, there is still a legit push to implement one of the worst ideas from the 90's, Internet Wiretapping. So they want companies to comply with an exploit vendor, for convenience of having access to all the backend data to "protect children", "stop terrorists" or whatever this week's TV buzzword is. Probably street bombers.

Oh yeah, speaking of Boston. Let's not forget too quickly that the whole thing showed another staple of the past that is really dangerous... lynch mob mentalities. Aggregating a bunch of video, opinions with the mix of stereotyping and racism, and you get the perfect storm of terrible ideas and misguided rage. I don't see the info in the CNN link, but I'm pretty sure someone was found dead, because they were panned as one of the perpetrators. Turns out they were not involved at all, but that finger pointed upon them, long enough.

It's getting close to where your doorknob will be removed from your home. Because you must be a criminal to want your doors locked, home or away.
