These guys go into detail on the connections for the card, heat problems, PCU requirements, and moreso, they mention why the new 5800 may not top the Radeon out by that much :p I didn't get to read all the info, but if the card is longer then the 4400, needs a Molex to run, I will not be interested, Especially for the Price, that reminds me of a company that was around called 3DFX, and we know they aren't around much anymore :p [quote:76e435706f] So why does NVIDIA need such an elaborate cooling setup? The obvious answer is that the cards put off a lot of heat (up to 75W actually). [/quote:76e435706f] That's ~10W more then my CPU  I'd watercool that in a heartbeat, but the avg user should not need to look to watercooling just to run a card anywhere near properly :p

The card was actually made by the 3dfx employees NVIDIA bought out, well wasnt totally made by them but they did the bulk of the design Geforce FX= Geforce + 3Dfx
