I am now part of the Cool Kids club, as I achieved my mission to rock Portal. I have embraced the Official Song, and now I can play the Advanced levels.

 

I know there is Half Life 2, EP 1, EP 2 and TF2 as well, but Portal was the root must-have reason I got Orange Box. :P

 

I will play the other games over time as well, but I had to make the post to note the Awesome that is Portal. :ahoy:

Yo, I spent a few hours playing Team Fortress 2 Maps this weekend, and it is really a sweet game. The Game speed is rad, and each class seems pretty cool. I felt most @ home as a Scout, as I'd rather evade then rock the Kill. :P

 

I was sad that only one stock map looked like CTF, but then again, there are 6 total. I saw the 360 is supposed to get a patch for Multiplayer enhancements? If so, that'd be cool.

 

I also noticed while I was hosting a SystemLink Match, that if I did stuff like view details on the GG score screen, I got a system lock. I'll tinker more with the MP and see if the same happens in a pub server.

Bump as I was on some HL2 Last night and made it to the Black Mesa entrance from the Waterway level. Riding in the Boats is fun, especially w/ a gun. :)

 

This is mad fun in HD, and I think I want to join the cool kids club, by finally completing HL2, along w/ EP 1 and 2, so when 3 hits, I am ready. ;)

 

I also saw mention the 360 Ed. of Team Fortress 2 is going to get a large patch and content update? We shall see. :cookie:

I got back into some Half-Life 2 SP over the weekend and I'm almost @ GG. My save is 12-13 hours currently. I'm just happy to soon be a member of the 'cool kids who finished Half Life 2' club.

 

As for the Update for TF2, I dunno when or if that will come down to the 360 heads. Hopefully with the release of the L4D Free DLC, they can apply a similar method to update TF2.

Jumped back onto my save game for Half-life 2 EP 1 and finished it with 4 hours on my save game. Promptly jumped into EP 2 and played it in 2 sittings. EP 2 was a 6 hour ordeal and it was awesome, sans the pretty annoying next-to last fight.

 

I can now appreciate all the people going batshit for HL3, since that ending is some intense 'Next Plz, wtf' business.

 

I was also very happy to play a single player campaign, where I don't get health back just from ducking in a corner for a minute. Auto health really takes the suspense out of games and exploration.
