Pic0o
Man, I swore I had a big olde N64 Adaptoid rundown, besides one scrolled away in a FFXI thread, but it looks like not. Hijack of this topic for that light purpose. I still love me some N64 USB action, and I re-vamped a new config to match with WoW default key mappings. This is nothing you'll want to full-time play with, but it's great for grinding weapon skills and farming low mobs. Attached is my config in the (awesome) keymapper, and the '0' bind is for my Mount. This is very handy on the long boring walks, and similar non-macro binding actions. ;) FYI, the Analog nub is pretty much useless for PC, as it snaps back to place, so it's not really effective IMO. I just turn it off as illustrated. This remains to be an awesome $30 adapter, since I didn't have to hack my cable up and the Keymapper is quite nice, and also supports macro recording. Pic0o
Reanimating this post to note you can still use this device on Windows 7 x64. Drivers + Software will not work, but Windows will detect the device. To verify the buttons are working, you want to run the following command from a Run window. joy.cpl Info from MS KB article The next step to rocking, will be to bind your keyboard keys to the controller buttons. You can do this with Joy2Key. I verified this on my buddies PC last weekend, as he was doing similar with a PS2 controller. Rocked this program so he could play flash games with a gamepad. His conquest games were Abobo's Big Adventure and Super Mario Bros Crossover 2.0. I will return to configuring my N64 controller for various PC games and Windows functions. :) Link to comment
