I'm about 50 hours into the game. Got a Nord with 2hander and heavy armor. I am literally Ned Stark at this point. Going to finish training up alchemy and enchanting and create some OP equipment. I usually don't enjoy the stealth shit, but the thieves guild quest line is pretty good.

The Diablo mouse looks to be a skinned version of the SteelSeries Xai, which seems to be a pretty good mouse. I picked up a SS Sensei the other day out of curiosity, and I really like it. The size and shape is pretty much perfect. Could do without the buttons on the right side as they are pretty useless if using the mouse right handed. A Razer DeathAdder can be had for $50-60 and is really a good mouse. My only complaint is that the scroll wheel feels kind of shoddy. I love the shape and the buttons aren't as clicky as the Sensei. I've never used a trackball. Could be interesting, but a mouse seems necessary for Starcraft, and at work I tend to favor hotkeys over mouse when possible.

Details here: http://nasl.tv/News/Article/20120510tribes-tournament-details-unveiled This is a good start. I'd be interested in watching some competitive play. Pretty sad that the prize pool is only $10k though, considering DotA2's Beta tournament had $1mil, a SC2 showmatch between 2 players will bring $5-10k, etc. Of course, Valve and Riot invest a shit ton of money into their prize pools. Blizzard only funds their own tournaments (ie: Blizzcon, Blizzard Cup). I wonder if HiRez will do something similar. Maybe fund a big tournament with $50-100k pool. That type of money draws a lot of attention.

Cleared Hell mode... some of that stuff hits really freaking hard. Vit stacking is def warranted. I think the worst thing I've come across so far is Molten Arcane Enchanted Waller. You can't move anywhere and there's lazers and lava everywhere If you're considering rolling a melee character, make sure you're at least part masochist.

Here's a pretty interesting reddit thread about some stuff some conspiracy bros are looking at. Apparently somebody found some old French poems that deal with the devil and make some pretty close connections to D3 lore. Personally, I'd say it is just total coincidence, or Blizz used the poems for inspiration.

I use Xchat since it's supported in Windows and Linux. It has plugin support for scripts written in Python (one of my fav languages), Perl, Ruby, Lua, and Javascript, as well as C modules. I think Irssi (and most IRC clients) supports Perl scripts. Just do some basic Perl tuts and then look up your client's Perl API and you're on your way.
