This is why FioS will always be better... If you for a speed, you get it...

I am hoping it's bullshit associated with my shitty Cisco firewall/router as I have peaked at 100mbps. I have a new ZyXEL ZyWALL ZWUSG200 Internet Security Firewall coming today so hopefully that can handle 100Mbps.

My current shitty Cisco is enough for 1 user and 10mbps it seems... Go Go Gadget CRAP....

NOW here is the issue, IF its NOT my Cisco, and I doubt its my Motorola DOCSIS 3 cable modem, then it will have to be comcasts shitty line. I will admin that when I plugged directly into the modems I saw a dramatic speed improvement. When I have the 50mbps service here when we first moved in (Because the rep told me thats the fastest they offer) and I tested the installed with the directlink I saw 40mbps. I checked the website and saw my home is offered 101mbps service, so I signed up for that. I have yet to plug directly into the modem with this newer service, but I am hoping changing out my chitty cisco will give me the speeds I should be getting based on my first test with the 50mbps.

It's amazing that you have to spend some solid chedda to get a good firewall/router these days. I opted for this beefer unit as I wanted to play with all the new features. I think I could have done just fine with the USG20 as I recommended to many people, but GO BIG OR GO HOME is my motto :)

Good luck with all of that silly, as my USG20 says it should hit my door today.

I haven't benched recently, but I'll see what I am getting on the TWC today.

I believe I'm on the 'Turbo' Package. DOCSIS 3.0 modem, because no thanks to paying a lease fee / month for a DOCSIS 2.0 modem.

My new Zyxel is at the fedex pickup station which I will be stopping by after work to pick that up. That would give me everything I need to make it happen like a boss. IF that doesnt work, Comcrap is even worse then I remember

Did you set yours up Pic0o?

Nope, got it yesterday though. My body was like GTF to sleep, so I did that last night. I have my USG20 on my desk today, hoping to get the base configuration and updates rolling before 5.

Btw because I am Zyxel fan boy for like the last 2yrs, I think I am migrating my wireless over to Zyxel as well

I have been considering this unit as well, but I think I want to keep a theme to my network gear...

I like the middle option, for sake of looking like it has awesome range coverage. I hardly get a signal in my driveway, but since my old Cisco / Linksys router is no longer the workhorse, I'm patch cabling that as an extendo AP for the pad and back yard.

Oh yeah, I'm on my USG20. Plugged it in and rolling this morning, as I gave a quick look around the device on Friday.

Current bench, Saturday morning in effect lol Netflix on my ISP probably peak times.

Fixed your image. Nice on the speeds.

My NAT rule was borked, but once that was fixed, I am rocking again. Gotta setup the other ports from the old router, then put that router in AP mode for wireless.
