Darksiders

I saw that a Demo is due to hit around 2/25 for Darksiders. I hear it's a cool game, and being able to drop 90 minutes into the first dungeon is a tight way to see if it's for me. :bunny:

This game is on 360 and PS3. I grabbed it for PS3 and am playing that version.

If you or anyone you know is still on the fence about Darksiders, a demo is coming out on February 25. It's going to feature the first dungeon, Twilight Cathedral, in full, which is about 90 minutes of gameplay to get a real taste of what Darksiders is like and face off against these big, bad uglies...

Even Cooler, is you can get RF:G for $5 bucks, if you Buy Darksiders before March 7th. I might bite before the demo. Damn you nice deals!

For the Promo, you need to send in your NEW game reciept and the actual barcode from the game. They mention used copies will not count, so spend that extra few bucks. Amazon also has the game for $40, but I wasn't going to mess around with hoping they don't go out of stock and I'd miss the Promo.

Rolt also equipped for the weekend. ;) Looks like Jolt is still getting product out, thank the Godz!

Pressure has been met, I got a copy along with some food on the way home from work. Filling out my mail-in form now. :)

I played this for about 1.5 hours and it's actually really fuckin awesome. I'm near the 1st temple and loving this game very much. It's a good blend of many games, tied together smoothly. Make your call when the Demo hits, or just get it now. Shit is Dope.

FYI: My new copy did not have an included code, so I cut my UPC off the game label, added a check for $4.99 and game receipt in the mail, with the PDC doc. RF:G and the Digital Darksiders disk shall be mine in a few weeks. :ahoy:

Oooo I was wondering if this game was gonna be any good!

Hmmm... once you get farther into the game, or beat it, lol, lemme know! If you still think it's amazing I might pick it up. Although I've had a really hard time gaming lately. :icon_wacko:

I think I might have finally broken mah brainz.

I'm little over 5 hours in and I finished the 1st dungeon (you have a bit of stuff to do before you go to the dungeon that will be in the Demo). The story is fast and raw. Mark Hamill doing some voice overs perfectly keeps the dark atmosphere going, as anyone who played Batman: AA knows.

As I mentioned, Kat saw me playing this and was all about it. One of those fun to play and watch games, for sure. As I've heard commonly described, this game is a Zelda / God Of War / Soul Reaver blended game. It takes aspects from many games and blends them together super smooth, without making you feel like you are playing Devil May Cry and a Fighting game, by being flooded with insane combos.

You get items (with environmental triggers to unlock new areas) , collect souls to upgrade your weapon attacks and attributes, and can turn into a giant magma demon. THQ hit some gold with Vigil games on a super fun ass fresh IP, not afraid to blend successful game mechanics to make a really engaging and fun experience. The dungeon design and boss fights are very Zelda-esc, while changing the experience up enough to not make you think you are playing the same thing.

When I saw the commercials for this game, I thought it was going to be generic and bland. Man, the advertising did this game a disservice. It's absolutely awesome. :cookie:

WEEEEEEEEEE!!! Good news! I will have to add it to my list then. But I will hold off on buying it as long as possible since right now it'd probably just collect dust. Although this very instant I am thinking of loading up an Xbox game... just dunno which one. =\ Eh fuck it, I'll play WoW or Aion... eh, fuck that too, I'll just sit here and dick around on the internet. Lmao.

I have around 22 hours in and I'm on the final collection quest before the final boss fight. Rocked some Vengeance out and next should be big nasty. Taking a break for a bit and I have the 360 in the living room with optical audio rockin.

From Scalding Gallow, go through the subway system, where you had to use chronosphere to get past that big wall. Entrance is all way behind Samael's platform.

I got my RF:G for PS3 and the Darksiders DVD in the mail yesterday. Barcode is scratched out to prevent resale on the RF:G disc. I'll give the Darksiders DVD a watch this weekend, as Kat demanded I do outside stuff since it's nice. :P Gonna clean the old car out and get my bike battle ready.

I gave the CD a look, as it's a CD-R with 129MB of game art and promo ads on it. The Hellguide PDF is pretty cool, but I'd avoid it if you didn't finish the game, as it has many of the bosses, weapons and abilities in there. If I only got the Hellbook for $5 bucks I'd be a bit disappointed, but also getting RF:G for PS3 made it a sick deal. :yar:

FYI for anyone who got the Hellbook + RF:G Promo. I just saw my 4.99 check cleared from my account on the 1st. Good thing that came through when I had the funds. :P

I'm guessing they just bulk processed them, so you may see a similar date, if it did not already clear from your account.
