- Sasser Cause of Train Outage in AU?

NSW TRAINS authority RailCorp has sent in software engineers to find the source of the outage that left up to 300,000 commuters stranded yesterday, saying the new Sasser worm, which has already spawned two variants, is being evaluated as a possible cause.

A RailCorp spokesman confirmed that software engineers were investigating the problem, which prevented drivers from talking to signal boxes. A virus attack was one possibility being investigated, he said. RailCorp was unable to confirm when the investigation would be complete.

This week at our school we had our awards "banquet" and one of the principals announced the athlete of the year (the highest award a senior athlete can receive) for his/her name to be put up in the gym forever and the principal got it wrong, he called the wrong name :P so the kid he called was really embarrassed and the kid that was sposed to win was even more so

Ironically, Microsoft executives acknowledged that the only truly secure PC is one that no one touches or uses. The network snafu illustrated that point. Security in this instance nearly crippled people's ability to do work.

My P2 200MHz is more secure then you can Fathom, Because it's prolly in a Dumpster ;)
