If this is posted somewhere already I apologize for the double post, but please read: This is for all who plan to do a Red Faction reinstall for some occasional nastalgic silliness. I was having issues running it on my new rig and came across this on google: Pure Faction Read up and follow the instructions. This thing is a Godsend for anyone having issues with the game of a new box. PS Support for ingame map downloading brings a tear to my eye.

Sorry to not see this earlier. Michell and I played the international version and the old school version for awhile. I have a level 60 archer on one of them. Lemme know if you're still busting it out.

J0k3r got me to finally put my clock up a little too. My stock clock was 1333 and my CPU is currently rock stable at 1600. I only needed to add a small amount of voltage (.02). The only issue I found was heat. Since this computer's inception I've been using the stock HS/F. Before the overclock, my CPU ran around 50+ idle and 60+ loaded; and after the overclock (still using stock HS/F) I was at around 56 idle and 70+ loaded. I was shopping around for a HS/F when I remembered that I had one up in my attic in a box that was 100% unused. Back in the day it was very popular and highly rated cooler. (Zalman CNPS7000B-CU) I found the link for it off Google because I was unable to find it via Newegg's search (where I purchased it) because I think it's discontinued. I was pretty sure it wasn't for my socket style but I just wanted to verify it. Upon going to the details and looking under compatibility, I found some information that made my day: "Intel Pentium 4 (Socket 478), AMD Duron / Athlon / Athlon XP (Socket 462), and Sempron / AMD64 (Socket 754 / 939 / 940) compatible design for broad compatibility. (To use this product on socket 775, ZM-CS1 must be purchased separately.)" Long story a little shorter, I decided to give the ZM-CS1 a chance for $6.99/free shipping and here are some idle/load results after some benchmarks. Needless to say, the temps are well under control now. I have to throw some love at Zalman for throwin' down a solution to keep one of their better designed and functional heatsinks working for another socket type. :)

Was talking to J0k about it a bit the other night and was doing research. I really want a nice TV around for all my media fun. We talked about LCD-LED TV's and both agree they are the new king of the TV market, however I am currently not the king of my checking account. That being said I found a nice little TV I'm really considering camping out in BestBuy's parking lot to get on black friday. They're offering it up for $897.99. Thoughts? TV here PS to D: If you notice, this is one off of Samsung's new Plasma line. Energy Star compliant and all. 40% less usage as you can see than previous Samsung plasmas. PSS: How's that for a response and refresh?

Not a review quite yet but a quick update: Cam and I played through the tutorial and 1 mission each. We then proceeded to play a few 1v1's in MP and try out different TFers. I was diggin' on some Decepticon (sadly can't recall the name right now) that was a sports car like BumbleBee. He was damn fast and had a sniper rifle as one of his weapons. Only played like 1-1 1/2 hrs but so far I'm really liking it. I have yet to play Prototype, but from gameplay videos I've seen; I'd say it kinda has a little of that flavor. You grab onto and climb up building and destroy everything around if you want. Granted it doesn't appear to have quite the amounts of crazy ass shiz that Prototype has, but they're big f'in robots; not some mutated freak. But also at the end of the day ... TFers got 4v4 MP muthasucka! There is also a huge size/speed difference among all the TFers. If you get a jump on BumbleBee with say Grindor or Starscream, who both almost look 2x BB's size mind you, and melee him; he's pretty screwed. However smaller TFers can run away fast, have faster HP recovery and can start plinking big TFers from distance. It seems pretty balanced so far, but as more people get it and message boards start filling up; hopefully some constructive arguments will throw some other thoughts on that. This isn't a review so much as it is fast-typed babbling, but I thought I'd throw up some thoughts on the game. I'd say so far graphics, gameplay and controls i'm going 9/10. Truely makes a great initial impression. I wanted to throw up a couple quick thoughts and I'm doing some things for work tomorrow on my PC or I'd be playing right now. :) Alright, more to come probably on the weekend when I'll really get into it again... unless of course I get 4 texts from 4 people tomorrow saying they scored it. Coming out today (06.23.09). First Transformers game with multiplayer. I'll be picking up 2 copies after work. I phoned Juice and he said he may be down if I give him the go. Hoping to get used to the controls and roll some sick ass MP with peeps by the weekend. PS Rumor is you can unlock old school Transformers cartoon episodes.

Wow. My parents had something similar happen to them about 5 years ago. Only dilly is their pool got ruined in the process. Gotta love 80mph wind gusts. :)

Been around forever so for some of you it's probably not news. Thought it was interesting though. WEBSITE/SIGNUP/PLAYHERE It runs in a browser, but has great graphics. Open beta just opened < 24 hours ago. Go create an account, activate the account and as of right now you have to wait in line to play. Initially after your line wait is up you'll have to download and install a plugin, then exit browser. You may have to do this a couple times and "repair" the plugin (at least I did). There are some bugs of course, but if it gets ironed-out soon this is gonna be some old school, kick-ass good times. If you have more questions or something isn't working correctly, you can probably get answers and/or find others who are having the same problems at their forums here. They do have friendslist already so if you sign up throw your name up here. Mine is fn0rd. This game was brought to my attention by a friend I used to play the MMORPG game Conquer Online with named Eric, aka Aziz, aka Makeshift, aka Provoke (which is his Quakelive name). OK quick background. My family and I attended my cousin's wedding last summer. The whole time we were sitting there (before the bridesmaids/groomsmen came out, and after the whole shebang went down), my brother and I shared a few laughs. We noticed that some guy that was walking around looked like the one and only Pic0o... just 20 years older. To make a long story short, my brother and I were the only people there who knew Pic0o. So during the part of the wedding where the minister is doing his thing and my cousin and his wife are doing their vows; we were absolutely struggling to not laugh. It didn't pan out too well and we had our heads down with our hands on our faces most of the time because of laughing. Well, to cut to the chase; my brother found a picture of this guy on my cousin's wife's facebook. Apparently it's her uncle! I decided to doctor up a pic. See if you're feeling me on the resemblance. :)
