Xbox Live Price Increase

I see that Nov. 1st will be the start of the new Pricing for XBL. $60/year is the MS rate, but you can still get the cards for a year from 30 bucks or so off Amazon and NewEgg. Considering this month will be FFXIV and many other games after that, I opted to turn off Auto-Renewal.

 

You can do this on the Xbox.com site. Once Logged in, goto the Marketplace section, My Account, then Membership Level. On that screen, you can click next to Automatic Renewal to set it as No (default yes). You will get a few Ads stating why you needs XBL, then keep clicking next, until you can verify to turn off auto-renewals.

 

This is a big plus, as you can manage and remove billing methods, they force you to leave one bound to the account. I've been so Single Player and other platform busy, that renewing would just be a waste of money, since my Gold runs out in a couple weeks.
