Personally, I got started by donating nearly a car full of old clothing, blankets and coats to my local community center. Gave some food out to the homeless on some marches as well. :)

Hmmm, good stuff, but also feels a bit publicity-stunt-ish. Good deeds don't need to be so heavily documented, do they? But if that's what pushes it to actually happen, then so be it.

 

Donating clothes is one of the easiest things to do some good... feels way better than just throwing old clothes away, and it costs nothing to do. Always been down for clothes donations. Gave some old small appliances away from various moves as well.

 

It does suck that people with little are spreading that around, whilst the 6 or so members of the walmart family have a combined wealth of the bottom third of our population. All that to say, supporting local business vs huge chains is always a good idea as well.

It is less of publicity, because no one person is Anonymous. The sharing is for people who live by the Television (and our hope to wake them up). Also those who do nothing but follow celebrities and live for consumer shit and #swag.

Pretty much I would personally say, is that the means for all the sharing and videos, is to show that people and community can and should be able, to topple the greedy corporate empires. Also personally as you know from my post history over the years, sharing relevant news, especially in respect to InfoSec and other areas, is pretty high on my list.

My main means for being so supportive as a Member of Anonymous, was that I already was doing the same thing and working for the same common goal. I simply found people who shared my perspective, but did not change my feeling, nor did I do this to them. It is really about learning, sharing, dreaming of a better world and making things happen. I know you are likely thinking "But some people do crazy exploits and shit". Each Anon is in their own power to do what they feel is right. Also, what they feel will not endanger them.
