Pic0o
Jolly mornin. I had a nice 8+ hour play on Fable 2 last night and I was having a sweet time. We picked this up for $35 bucks used, so if you want to have fun for less bucks, you are looking good. I'm still waking up and Fable is pretty well revered, so I'll leave my descriptions of awesome @ the above. :ninjawub: I also rocked some Aid with a Hero, after going to a yummy picnic last night. I ate and slept very jolly upon that mission rocked. Edited August 2, 2009 by Pic0o Fun R continue Link to comment
Xerxes
I might join your game sometime...I finished the single player mode and really havent touched it. Although I kinda went on a rampage and bought 5 games yesterday as they were cheap. Overlord - $20 Mirrors Edge - $10 The Club - $7 Infinate Undiscovery - $20 Lost Odyssey - $30 All new (i refuse to contribute to eb/Gamestop ripping off the onsumer with used games) although I do regularly go there and see what games they are selling for 10-15 dollars because they cannot get rid of.....It how I got Alone In The Dark...$8 among other games Link to comment
Pic0o
Rad scores man. I'm 100% with you on the circumvention of the 55$ used game, that is garbage. It's not like the game selection isn't diverse enough to save some loot on newer games, after the release whoring stops. I also :ninjawub: the local VGM shop, and we love to see what cheapie treasures await us. Ingame, I got a bunch of Gypsy rent tenants now, so I can gain bank while I watch some Movies. Well within my interests. Link to comment
JeT
Fallout 3 used is still $55... I just don't get it. Link to comment
Pic0o
Fallout 3 used is still $55... I just don't get it. That is a big WTF. I'm guessing the Game stores are being whores about the price until the GoY / Version with expansions included hits in Dec. Ebay follows similar gouging price suit, I did a quick look and found a buy it now for $45. Fable 2 bootin back up til Anime time. :) Link to comment
Xerxes
I do not understand why anyone buys used games...they are like $5 less then retail....I would gladly pay an extra $5 for something some kid hasnt messed with....but I am super picky. Link to comment
Pic0o
Sometimes the used games are priced rationally (like -10 or more than retail) If there is only a $5 difference in price and they have the non-used, I'd pony up the extra 5 bucks as well. When we go to VGM however, if they have something used, they normally don't have the new game. We also get more of a discount for used games via the membership there. I think it's $10 a yr for 20% (maybe 15%, I dun recall) off used stuff and the ability to rent movies. We tend to just buy movies there, since you can find some super gems for under $5 a movie. (IE Batman - The Movie 'West style') Link to comment
Pic0o
I picked up the 2 DLC packs for Fable 2 and played one (of 3) Mission for each. Knothole Island - In the town, when available, you will be able to buy some items, and the ones of note are Height, Fatness, Slimness, Scar Removal Potion and some new Dyes. Quests seem pretty easy so far, compared to the See the Future quest I've played. See the Future - This pack lets you get Potions to augment your Dog Breed. I have a Bloodhound running around with me now. You'll get your DLC action started @ Murgo the Trader. The Quest I did was pretty straight forward, and when fighting the Red Shadows , I thought they were invulnerable, since they took so much damage. A nice touch applied, is that people who don't want to buy the DLC, can download the Free packs, to play with friends. Sorry about missing ya this weekend Xer, I caught up on some  on Sunday and last night. Link to comment
Pic0o
I bumped thru Single Player pretty smoothly, as most of my stats were capped. ;) Once I was done with core SP, I jumped in to finish the rest of the DLC Quests. The difficulty observations above maintained difficultly, as See the Future' Quests were certainly more difficult. /random: On TV, I caught the Wendy's Invitational BMX Dew Tour, pretty wild to see Mirra still riding and doing wild. I caught the last few runs, and the young dude who got 1st was pretty rad. Total emo hugger pants tho. :o Back to Fable 2, Spoiler of my Post-Game questings: So, the ending I went with killed my Dog and Gypsy Wife (Goodie Ending needing Sacrifice). In my best effort to move on, I continued questing, until finding the Sex Change potion. From there, I was now a Heroine, who married Carla the Whore. Things were looking up, I was still getting some pussy. Despite this, I was still empty from the loss of my Doggen. Handily enough, I found the Cheet-Ur crypt on Knothole Island. With a Human Sacrifice, I was able to reanimate my Doggie, and continue on adventuring and finding sweet treasure. That sums up my Post-Game questing, and I do have to say that there is some good replay value in this game. The DLC Quest Items make very good control of changing your play up, as I :ninjawub: the Socket Remover Tool . Well worth the used price and DLC. I still want to try Co-Op, even though I have all my Skills maxed. :yar: If you want a fun game for a good price, be sure to give Fable 2 a look. :cookie: Link to comment
