Gaming Collection

So I got in the office this morning and dood I work with found a GameBoy Pocket @ his pad and donated it to me. I'm going to hit VGM on the way home to browse the GB collection for a test title / posterity game. Upon receiving the GameBoy, I was instantly transported back to early high school and study halls of passing around the 1st gen GameBoy brick of doom. :yar:

 

Oh yeah. I have our older consoles setup in my room on shelves for display. When I take a break from playing games and finish sorting my game cave, I'll have to snap some updated museum shots. :smurfy:

 

Added Pics from the bunker. LCD and PS3 are not in the images, as they were packed for my Buffalo trip. I snapped these pics before I unpacked from the trip last night.

Just looking at pics of the original GB bring me back, though. Holy hell. It's like the basis still for how pocket gaming in cartoons and shit all follow. So funny.

 

I had a pocket, and friends had original oldschool GB. I had a game gear way back in the day, though. It was too advanced for its time or something. Used shit tons of batteries and was all in color years before GB (I think anyways..)

 

I still have a GB Color around somewhere I think.

I wish I still had all my consoles that I owned over the years. I saw an old ass Atari 2600 with its original box in a Comics 2 Games store here in Kentucky. It was like a flashback episode from That 70's Show as soon as I laid eyes on it. Then I saw the Intelivision console that was next to the Atari and I started to get all teary eyed. On the way out of the store while I was drying my eyes with my sleeves on my T-Shirt I caught a glance at a pewter figure of the comic book character Wolverine. He was zombified, I thought he look odd when I first glanced at it. So I asked the clerk about it and he said it was from a small throw-off series the Marvel Universe being infected with zombies. Could you imagine running across Wolverine as a zombie? Lets see Jokers guns stop that zombie. Head shots won't work on this zombie, indestructible adamantium skull. Anyways when I head what it was I couldn't take anymore and briskly walked out of the store and got into my truck and drove away.

 

I'm seriously thinking about going back and buying that figure of Wolverine.

That is a pretty cool Zombie Wolverine there. We'd be ultra screwed if such a zombie ever came to be.

 

I don't have too much reorg to do, so I should get around to snapping shelf pics tonight. Meanwhile, attached is the score of yesterday, as Monster had some GB titles in the store, so I went with a timeless classic and super Kat favorite.

Added pics to the OP. As mentioned, the PS3 normally sits in the empty space on the left of my TV, and my LCD sits infront of the PC, between the speakers. :)

Cool pics. Still got both Diablo box sets on top shelf? Nice. I lost mine forever ago. haha. Think I still have warcraft ones somewhere, though.

:lol: Cars come first priority as its been having a bit of trouble recently. Just got it resprayed and then the ignition barrel went so the car wouldnt start, i had to hotwire my own car but then steering lock would some times come on, then the power windows all stopped working, now the back brake barrels have all gone in a matter of days ive been busy and greasy to say the least. :icon_laugh:

 

I will grab some shots tonight of my collection and shiz but.

Shit dude, that's some awful car hyjinx there. I reworked my room a bit, as my Desktop is now on the floor. Works pretty nice for my desk, as I asked Kat to score me an HDMI-Switcher box for my b-day, so I can hook multiple devices up, without having to unplug shit all the time.

 

I can now boot the lappy and put it behind my Monitor, as I love me some USB input devices. I have Fallout 2 and The Witcher on my PC Games to Play list.

Tell me about it, always seems to be one thing on top of the other with cars.

 

First picture, my love of the 360 even though I havn't finished nearly as many of the games as I want to, 2nd picture draw has to come out to get to the cartridges and that for my SNES, 64 and megadrive.. 3rd picture all my controllers etc, 4th picture my console setup as it stands I have more consoles packed with games but cant fit them in there so I cant wait untill I get my own pad and have a very nice entertainment unit with nearly every console imaginable (my dream) :icon_laugh: 5th picture, PS3 360 TV etc setup. Last picture just explains the room a bit more.

 

(Oh and ignore all the dust my rooms usually spotless along with my gear but havnt had time yet)

I love my bed to, beats the shit out of where I sleep when working :icon_laugh: Looking at houses over the coming weeks, have a deposit together got approved. Going to buy something in my mums hood since ive lived there most my life and she can always peep it when im away from work. Im realising how expensive its going to be but just to furnish a house considering its only me and ive only got 1 room of furniture that I would want to replace anyway :boo:

Just scored 2 DS lites and Pokemon gold for $70 bucks to add to my collection, Pokemons $70 alone over here and since I had the itch and a friend of a friend was selling I hit it up straight away.

 

Ones black, and anothers white which he said just good for parts. After receiving though its only the right side hinge broken and the case drity as sh*t so after $12 later on ebay for a brand new housing and hinge and some over night parts from hong kong it should be sitting pretty aswell. :icon_happy:

Belated read, but props on the combo score! I highly recommend the Chrono Trigger DS remake, as that is my slowly but surely DS game of choice. :)

 

I resorted my desk layout, but it's still getting finalized. Cleaning always has a way of making you find even more stuff to put away. :o
